Samuel (Sandy) Rhodes closed the East Penn School Board meeting last week with the following remarks. It was his final meeting as a board member after serving our community for twelve years. His perspective is important enough that I wanted to share it beyond the handful of people who were at the meeting: "In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.
